The Hamilton Jazz Society proudly present Wizard and Oz in concert at the Waikato Commerce Club, 197 Collingwood Street, Hamilton on Sunday 18thAugust, 4.30-7.30pm.
The Wizard and Oz from Melbourne Australia have been invited back to the Bay of Islands Jazz and Blues Festival in Early August. They are taking two weeks to do a short tour which will include a return visit to the Hamilton Jazz Society. If you’ve seen them, you know! Andrew Farrell & David McMillan are the Wizard & Oz. Andrew started piano at the age of eight and studied classical music for many years. Since then he has played just about every style of music that he took a liking to. David started playing guitar when he was four and hasn’t looked back since. They met on the Mornington Peninsular in 1986 and have been playing together ever since.
Their playlist is enormous including covers and original songs in Popular Rock, pancreatitis Jazz, R&B, Blues, Boogie and Classical music styles. Wizard & Oz are much in demand at Jazz & Blues Music Festivals.

Joining Wizard and Oz this month as our support artist, is Roger McLay. Roger wowed us with his resonator guitar and Blues repertoire and we are pleased to have him return this month.
