Hi Jazz Cats !

What a great performance from the Mike Booth Band. Those who were able to make the gig, surely must agree that the cool trumpet of Mike Booth, the swinging double bass of Craig Williams, the vibe's of Peter Woods, the cool saxophone of Peter and the perfect clockwork drums of the student Tom in full swing, was nothing short of a amazing. One that all the band’s musicians should be very proud of! Thank you Mike Booth for coming to Hamilton Jazz Society Inc to perform for us we applaud you and we will definitely be keeping in touch!

Have you ever wondered who are the dancers that get up at the Sunday Jazz and perform crazy fun looking bop! They are Wai-Kat-Swing and their moves are called Lindy Hop, an American dance that evolved in Harlem, New York City, in the 1920s and 1930s. They are all about enjoying music through dancing, and it would be awesome to see even more people on the dance floor. If you wanted to try out Lindy Hop, then why not come along to the classes on Thursday nights, they have beginner blocks starting through out the year. Look them up on the web, ask your committee or ask any one of the Wai-Kat-Swing dancers for more info! Website: waikatswing.wordpress.com.
