You enjoyed Bryan’s accompaniment and vocals with Linn Lorkin at our July Concert. Bryan returns with his duo, Sirrah this month. Bryan Harris has enjoyed a long career in music as a drummer, Latin percussion player, music programmer and vocalist, beginning with iconic NZ Bands “The Action” and the “La de das” followed by extensive overseas live and recording work. Jack Stradwick also began with “The Action”, followed by “Head Band” featuring the late “Tommy Adderley”. His resume includes many overseas recording and live playing commissions, and is a sought-after bass and guitar player. Many of you will be familiar with Sirrah as the backing band for Suzanne Lynch.

Returning also this month is Paul McIsaac. A regular at the Tamahere Market, Paul surprised his parents by playing “Drummer Boy” on the piano with both hands at age 5. Paul’s distinctive style is self-taught and what he calls “variety with a jazz feel” drawing on diverse influences such as Frank Sinatra, Elton John, The Carpenters, Alicia Keys, Shakatak, Rod Stewart, Van Morrison.
