The Wizard and Oz from Melbourne Australia have been invited back to the Bay of Islands Jazz and Blues Festival in Early August. They are taking two weeks to do a short tour which will include the Hamilton Jazz Society. If you’ve seen them, you know! If you haven’t, check out one of the most dynamic duos in Australia. Andrew Farrell on piano and vocals and David McMillan on acoustic guitar and vocals.

Our supporting artists this month are Hin & Co an international collaboration between a highly accomplished Kiwi vocalist Hinemoa Pohatu and guitarists: Maciek Hrybowicz, who brings in the nostalgia of Poland and the inventiveness of London. and a Waikato based Noel Kaa Reid (Ngati Mahuta) with a passion for flamenco guitar and percussion with 25 years guitar playing experience. At Hamilton Jazz Society they will perform a mix of familiar standards and modern popular songs arranged to appeal to sophisticated jazz audiences.
